Grand Opening Of Bus Transfer Center Has Been Delayed

The anticipated January end date has come and gone, and though it is nearing completion, it has been slow going for the Greater Lynchburg Transit Company’s new transfer center. Sources say the weather has not been cooperative for crews since the project began; and recent wet weather has hindered progress on the parking lot and bus loop. Crews hope to start pouring concrete for the bus lot within the next week; Officials now hope the new center, which is located across from the train station will be complete by mid-May; with an anticipated a grand opening in June… weather permitting.
