The Lynchburg Public Library broke ground on its new story-time room on Thursday. The roughly 700-square-foot story-time room will be a dedicated space for children’s programming. Fundraising for the project began in 2011 and is being supported almost exclusively by donations. The entire project is budgeted to cost nearly $450,000. The city’s contribution was just $10,000. Construction is set to begin in earnest on April 7 and wrap up in August.
