The man charged with bank robbery in South Boston has pled guilty. 25 year old, Girard Carlos Turner Jr., reached a plea agreement with prosecutors and on Monday pleaded guilty to a felony charge for the robbery of a teller at Carter Bank & Trust on July 20. In August, authorities in Bath County arrested Turner after surveillance video taken inside the bank was developed and returned for evidence; the note also was recovered, and fingerprints were taken at the scene. Turner will be sentenced in March.
