Seven counties and two cities in Virginia will be treated for gypsy moths in June. The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services says aerial applications of a mating disruption pheromone are tentatively scheduled this week. The department says in a news release that gypsy moth caterpillars are leaf eaters that can defoliate entire trees.
