city of lynchburg BLUE logoThe Lynchburg Redevelopment & Housing Authority, last month, closed its waiting lists indefinitely to focus on the current inventory of applicants. According to Housing Authority officials the list has grown too long; administrators say it’s no longer practical or productive to keep adding to them. The moratorium does not affect anyone already on the lists; the federally funded agency will continue to update its information annually and says it will monitor the situation. The authority has ruled out the possibility of accepting new applications on a limited basis when conditions warrant.
