Central Virginia Health Officials are preparing for the highest number of Covid-19 cases in months following the Christmas holiday. While the delta variant is still the predominant strand in Virginia, as of December 24th there are 6 confirmed cases of the Omicron variant and 2 of those are in the Central Virginia region, and more cases are expected following the Christmas holiday according to the Virginia Department of Health.
