Lynchburg Human Services Department to be open Tuesday evenings, starting in January

From the City of Lynchburg: In order to better serve its clients, the Lynchburg Human Services Department, 99 Ninth Street, will hold extended hours each Tuesday beginning January 5, 2016. The department will be open on Tuesdays, 8:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Regular hours of 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. will be conducted the other days of the week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday). According to Human Services Director Tamara Rosser, the department is hoping the extension of hours will help accommodate citizens who may not be able to access department services during regular weekday hours. “Some of our clients are working during the same hours we are open, and they find it difficult to access services.
