The Appomattox Board of Supervisors this week, voted to take no action on a request from the Virginia Hunting Dog Alliance to pass a resolution in opposition of hunting on Sundays. A bill to allow Sunday hunting is working it’s was through the General Assembly. The County Administrator told the board that an amendment is in the works that would allow localities to opt out. On Monday, officials said the resolution would not likely stop the bill from passing and recommended that the board take no action now, preferring to hear both sides of the issue.
