A character-development program has achieved nonprofit status and will expand this school year from Amherst County High School to Lynchburg with a branch at E.C. Glass High School. The IRON –or- I’m Responsible for Overcoming Negativity program engages students to embrace integrity as personal goals. The program also stresses college- and career-readiness to help prepare students for life after high school through practical financial strategies. Sources say a branch of T.I.N Men– IRON’s junior component, is slated to begin at Sandusky Middle School this month.
