An industrial incentive to StarTek Call Center was changed and approved once again by the Campbell County Board of Supervisors earlier this month. The Altavista Journal report, the company asked that the original incentive first approved in September as a generator lease/purchase agreement, be renegotiated as cash incentives instead. According to the article, the $55,000 will assist the company in its relocation from Lynchburg to Campbell County. Officials say the change will not impact the eligibility for the funds or the amount of the incentive—just in how it will be disbursed. The money would be paid in two installments.
