The man charged with leading police along a cross-county chase will spend just under three years in prison. 35 year old, Jason Todd Cash, pleaded guilty in Nelson County to several charges associated with the multi-county chase, which resulted in three police cruisers being hit. Cash was being pursued as a suspect in “numerous break-ins and burglaries. He was convicted in part to eluding police; assault and battery and driving after being declared a habitual offender. Officials say, no one was injured in the February chase, though three police cruisers did sustained damage. The Judge on Tuesday sentenced Cash to two years and seven months as part of a plea agreement, but ordered him to pay Virginia State Police in full for damages.
