Officials from the James River Association met Wednesday to reflect on and to discuss the cleanup efforts and options available to prevent another incident. Safety concerns related to the hauling of Bakken oil have been growing nationwide; even before 17 tankers of a 105-car train derailed in Lynchburg on April 30. Officials praised the fast and effective response by Lynchburg fire fighters and police officers.
