A special open house and ceremony will take place this afternoon at the Jubilee Center in Lynchburg. The gathering is to celebrate the new gym floor and to thank donors for contributing to the updates. The event also represents a kickoff to the center’s 15th anniversary which takes place in February. Programs have grown afterschool and summer camp programs– to the academic, mentoring, and career preparation opportunities that are currently available for students. The center also offers GED classes for adults. Today’s event begins at 4:30 p.m. at the center’s after-school program
