A federal judge is poised to rule today whether to toss out most of the corruption charges against former Governor Bob McDonnell and his wife, Maureen.  The trial is set for late July; the McDonnells charged with illegally accepting more than 165-thousand dollars in exchange for promoting products of a dietary supplements maker. Yesterday, McDonnell’s lawyers asked the judge to dismiss most of the charges and to grant Bob and Maureen McDonnell separate trials. U.S. District Judge James Spencer says he will rule on those requests today.
