U.S. Senator Tim Kaine was one of the speakers at the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford today, where 70th anniversary events drew thousands. Kaine talked about the “Bedford Boys,” from a National Guard unit that gave their lives on the beaches at Normandy – and about Virginia’s military impact in general.
