Volunteers who help neglected and abused children in Central Virginia have a new space for building relationships with young clients. Court Appointed Special Advocates of Central Virginia unveiled the “Kids Corner” at the office in downtown Lynchburg. CASA, helps children navigate the court system and advocates on their behalf. Susan Shutt, an advocate manager for Bedford County tells WDBJ-7, the center is designed to help “break the ice” with age-appropriate or child-specific gifts. Shelving and boxes for the Kids Corner were donated by the Home Depot- “The Motherhood Collective” donated toys and books for the space.
