The Virginia Department of Transportation conducts numerous projects and studies to determine the need, costs and impacts of proposed highway projects across the commonwealth. On Thursday, local residents will have a chance to learn about and comment on upcoming VDOT projects in our area. Representatives from various transportation and planning organizations will host a public comment meeting this week in Lynchburg to discuss local interstate, primary road, rail, bicycle, pedestrian and public transportation plans through fiscal year 2020. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. November 21 at the Kirkly Hotel on Candlers Mountain Road. This will be the final comment forum hosted by VDOT.
