Another person was arrested Wednesday in connection with the drive-by shooting death of a 20 year old Lynchburg man… the eighth taken into custody since the homicide early Sunday. Police say 18-year-old Jhalil Darian Bateman is charged with first degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, shooting from an occupied vehicle and shooting into an occupied vehicle. Seven others, three of which are juveniles face similar charges. Amherst County authorities are investigating whether the homicide of Lawrence Giusto is in retaliation of a shooting in Madison Heights.
