LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) _ The Transportation Security Administration says a traveler attempted to board a plane at Lynchburg Regional Airport with a loaded semi-automatic handgun. The TSA says the Lynchburg man was stopped Wednesday by officers after an X-ray machine detected the .40-caliber gun, loaded with 13 rounds. The weapon was in a bag that was placed on a conveyor belt. Airport authority police confiscated the firearm and arrested the man on state weapons charge.
