state police logoA preliminary reports released by the Virginia State Police reports eleven people died in traffic wrecks on Virginia highways over the Thanksgiving weekend. Authorities say eight were not wearing seat belts; in at least four of the crashes, alcohol was a factor. One of the fatal crashes occurred in Bedford County on Wednesday. 21 year old, Evan Patrick Nichols, of Bedford, was killed when a car he was riding in ran off the road and struck a tree. According the News & Advance, The driver, 21-year-old Durham Westley Falabella of Goodview, was charged with driving while intoxicated.
