A preliminary reports released by the Virginia State Police reports eleven people died in traffic wrecks on Virginia highways over the Thanksgiving weekend. Authorities say eight were not wearing seat belts; in at least four of the crashes, alcohol was a factor. One of the fatal crashes occurred in Bedford County on Wednesday. 21 year old, Evan Patrick Nichols, of Bedford, was killed when a car he was riding in ran off the road and struck a tree. According the News & Advance, The driver, 21-year-old Durham Westley Falabella of Goodview, was charged with driving while intoxicated.
