Another Bear Sighting In Central Virginia

Bears can be seen just about anywhere in Virginia…including the Lynchburg area. A black bear was recently caught with a night vision camera near Wiggington Road. The Department of Game and Inland Fisheries says residential bear problems can occur whenever, but are pretty common when their natural food supplies are limited. Experts say citizens can help manage the bear population by keeping their property clear of food sources such as bird feeders, garbage or exposed trash, and pet food. Authorities say it is illegal to deliberately or inadvertently feed bears.Bears can be seen just about anywhere in Virginia…including the Lynchburg area.
