City Decides To Change From Tags To Bags

Lynchburg City Council gave the green light yesterday to a new trash fee system that would phase out trash tags in favor of prepaid bags. Officials hope to start selling the bags in April, but a transition period will be built in to allow the public to adapt to the new system. The bags will be specially colored and marked. The city will implement a $25 fee for households not in compliance with the trash disposal requirements.
