Considered Library System to Go Through “Phased Approach”

lynchburg logo - city councilLynchburg City Council is expected to consider a “phased approach”, while reviewing a proposal that supports a regional library system among the city and Bedford and Campbell counties. The first phase would focus on shared services: a precondition for the regional venture is sharing of an integrated library system. The city and counties are expected to develop a memorandum of understanding outlining the legal, funding and governing structure for a regional system. Council today will likely adopt a resolution endorsing the report on library operations and direct staff to move forward in implementing the plan.
