Experience the James In Upcoming Museum Display

lynchburg-museumThe Lynchburg Museum, will host an Experience The James exhibit over the next several months. The focus on the display will be the historical impact of the James River for the region. Objects on display will include prehistoric tools, items recovered from sunken vessels, Native American trade goods, and pottery from recent excavations in Jamestown forts. Programs will include workshops about water quality, children’s environmental education programs, and volunteer opportunities to help clean up the James with the March on Litter. The exhibit opens on Friday, June 6 and will run through next year.
