Four people are charged with an armed robbery at an Amherst County home. The sheriff’s office says the call came in around 4:30 am last Friday to the home along US 60 about five miles east of Amherst. Two men and two women faces various counts; officials say all have prior felony records.  The investigation led to unrelated charges against two others.

The Amherst County Sheriff’s Office has made several arrests related to an armed robbery that occurred in Amherst.  On 09/16/2016 at approximately 4:35 am deputies received a complaint of an armed robbery that had recently occurred. The victim, a 24 year old female, was robbed at gunpoint at 2626 Richmond Hwy in Amherst, but was not injured. Deputies initially were able to arrest Alice Faye Hutton, 32, of Amherst for her involvement in the incident. Hutton is charged with Use of Firearm in Commission of a Felony, Robbery, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Upon returning to the Richmond Hwy address to execute a search warrant several other individuals were arrested for their involvement with the robbery. They are as follows:
Jennifer Ann Davis, 37, Madison Heights – Robbery, Use of Firearm in Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
James Edward Emerson, 34, Amherst – Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
David Alexander Jordan, 38, Amherst –Robbery, Use of Firearm in Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Also arrested during the search warrant, for offenses unrelated to the robbery, were:
David Anthony Konoka, Missouri – Fugitive warrant related to various felony charges in Missouri to include Burglary, awaiting extradition
John Wayne Lawhorne, 50, Amherst –Possession w/ Intent to Sell/DistributeMethamphetamine
All individuals were transported to the Amherst Adult Detention Center.
