Lynchburg police investigating storage unit break-ins

Lynchburg PoliceThe Lynchburg Police Department is investigating multiple break-ins at the Alleghany U-Store-It self-storage facility on Alleghany Avenue. Several storage units have had multiple items stolen from them including: multiple sets of rims and tires, men’s clothing, four tree-stands, fishing equipment, craftsman hand tools, one Whirlpool and one GE window A/C unit, 4′ industrial floor fan, an automobile engine, 2′ porcelain Indian dolls and firearm ammunition

An equipment trailer was also broken into next door to the storage facility. Several commercial-grade Echo grass trimmers and leaf blowers were stolen.
