Man Found Guilty in Ball Bat Robbery

One of two men wielding an aluminum baseball bat while breaking into the Jiffy Food Store in Brookneal last October has pleaded guilty to one count of robbery. 30 year old, Adam Scott King, of Nathalie also pleaded guilty Wednesday to wearing a mask in public, burglary and one misdemeanor count of destruction of property. A Campbell county Judge found King guilty on all counts. A sentencing will be set at a later time. The driver of the car, 35 year old, Johnny Thompson, of Prospect is charged with robbery, burglary and destruction of property and faces a jury trial in April.
