Man Sentenced On Various Cocaine Related Charges

A Lynchburg man will spend the next three decades behind bars for multiple drug distribution and other felony charges. The News and Advance reports 33 year old, Vincent Leon Dawson, pleaded guilty to four counts of distribution of cocaine; two counts of distribution of cocaine in a school zone; two counts of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute; and one drug-related charge of obstruction of justice. According to the article, the Judge sentenced Dawson to 75 years in prison and suspended 42 years; he has already served 8 years for previous drug related charges. Authorities say Dawson twice had been convicted of selling cocaine in 2002 and 2007.
