Moneta, Bedford Primary, and Body Camp are all being considered after a state efficiency study was conducted and recommended closing two of the schools. The News & Advance reports, the concerned citizens organized through social media; and have met the last few Sundays after receiving a letter from the school board. The Chairman reminded the group, of the 160 positions that have been cut over the last several years and possibly 46 more that could be lost in the fiscal year starting July 1– due in large part to the declining enrollment.
