Reward Doubled For Missing Hunter

A missing Virginia man’s employer has doubled a reward in an effort to generate new tips. According to the Associated Press, 42-year-old Eric G. Smith of Cedar Bluff was last seen Nov. 8 as he headed into the woods on his property to hunt. Since then, police and volunteers have unsuccessfully searched more than 800 acres by air and on the ground. A matching $8,000 raised by family members brings the reward to $16,000 for information leading to Smith’s location. Authorities say anyone with information can call the State Police.
