Sandusky Middle Waiting To See If Bill Passes

A Senate panel has amended a bill meant to protect schools that have received warnings about low test scores. The original bill gave schools one more year to raise their scores, but an Education and Health subcommittee modified it to take away the additional year. According to the News & Advance, Sandusky Middle School in Lynchburg joins a handful of schools across Virginia that could find some relief from state-level pressure if the General Assembly passes the new version of the bill. For the past three years, Sandusky has been accredited with warning due to SOL test scores.
