UVA Project Could Craft The Revitalization Of Lovingston Village

NelsonCountyStudents from the University Of Virginia School Of Architecture have introduced a project in Nelson County for consideration that has potential to become a template in revamping and preserving the village of Lovingston and its historical resources. The Nelson County Times reports, the plan proposed several ideas– including a 10-point revitalization strategy for the community; as well as suggests created a walking tour of Lovingston with a logo and way finding signage. According to the article, the students also recommended that a master plan, developed by the county in 2006, be made available electronically to those who live and work there. The county’s work to update the comprehensive plan will be open to residents and business owners of the village, to make recommendations.
