Architects across Virginia have nominated 250 structures they consider the best of Virginia’s rich architectural heritage. Local structures on the list include the Lynchburg Museum, Point of Honor, the Allied Arts Building and Poplar Forest. The exhibition is part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Virginia Society of the American Institute of Architects and will open on April 10, 2014 at the Virginia Center for Architecture in Richmond. The public is invited to vote on their favorites, and once votes are tallied, the top 100 will be featured in an exhibition entitled Virginia’s Favorite Architecture.
