16 middle and high school students from across the region will receive “CEO status” today– during the 2014 Lynchburg Young Entrepreneurs Academy Commencement. The Academy takes students in grades six through twelve through the process of starting and running real businesses over the course of a full academic year. By the end of the class, students own and operate fully functioning businesses that can be carried on after graduation. The students have launched 11 businesses throughout Central VA since the program began in November. This year’s enterprises range from a technology company to a lawn care company to an entertainment company.
