The Virginia Department of Alcohol Beverage Control has arrested several individuals and seized approximately 150 gallons of untaxed liquor and small amounts of narcotics in Wirtz. ABC agents, with the assistance of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, discovered the moonshine behind a false wall in an outbuilding on property in Franklin County. The enforcement roundup was the result of information gathered during three separate raids earlier in the month.
