Lynchburg Police are investigating a vehicle crash that left a child in critical condition. IT happened Wednesday just after 9pm in the 1100-block of Toledo Avenue. A 9-year-old boy became trapped underneath a 2020 Hyundai Accent when it rolled down a hill and into the front yard of a residence. LPD officers and Lynchburg Fire Department personnel immediately began life-saving measures on scene. The child was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital and later flown to Roanoke for treatment. At this time, he is still listed in critical condition.

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) is investigating a vehicle crash that left a child in critical condition on Wednesday evening.

On June 1, 2022, at 9:04 p.m., officers responded to the 1100-block of Toledo Avenue for a report of a single-vehicle accident with injury. The injured person, a 9-year-old boy, became trapped underneath a 2020 Hyundai Accent when it rolled down a hill and into the front yard of a residence.

LPD officers and Lynchburg Fire Department personnel immediately began life-saving measures on scene. The child was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital and later flown to Roanoke for treatment. At this time, he is still listed in critical condition.
