A Stroll Down Gingerbread Lane
The Lynchburg Christmas Parade
CVABC / Forest, VA— Along with hot mulled cider and candy canes, gingerbread is one of those festive scents and tastes of the holiday season. Remember creating those little works of eatable art, with family and friends? Among the colorful lights and cheery decorations, gingerbread houses have always stood out as being (almost) too ornamental to justify eating. They were meant to appreciate visually instead.
Central Virginia Business Coalition is excited to announce this year’s theme, “A Stroll Down Gingerbread Lane”. Participants have been encouraged to consider all things Gingerbread when designing their floats; Gingerbread Houses; Ginger-people and pets OR Ginger Cobblestoned paths.
Marching bands, creative floats and holiday characters; you’re invited to join us, as bring the sights and sounds of a Gingerbread Christmas to the Hill City! – Sponsored by Nadine Blakely/Remax, the 2021 Christmas Parade will be a Rain, Shine, or Snow event. “A Stroll Down Gingerbread Lane” begins at Bank of the James Stadium at 4:00pm, ending at 7:00pm at E.C Glass High School on Sunday, December 5th. Should the Parade be cancelled due to extreme inclement weather, it will NOT be rescheduled!
