Lynchburg City Council on Tuesday approved a large mixed-used development off Graves Mill Road. Dubbed the Rosedale project, the site encompasses about 43 acres; and is slated to be turned into a wedding and event venue, commercial, residential, and retail space. Council voted to approve a rezoning, permit and other related approvals for the twin projects. The city planning commission did not recommend approval of this project to city council. But council said they ultimately disagreed with that recommendation. With approvals secured, work on the projects will now move forward.
