LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) — Authorities are investigating the death of a Lynchburg man who fell three stories from a balcony. Lynchburg Fire Department Capt. Diron Martin says the accident occurred Saturday at a building that’s being converted into apartments. Martin says a balcony railing gave way when the victim leaned against it.
He says the man suffered two broken legs, a head injury and an injury to his right side. He died while being transported to Lynchburg General Hospital. The man hasn’t been identified. The accident is being investigated by Lynchburg police and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
