Lynchburg police have arrested a city resident on child pornography charge. As WLNI’s Evan Jones reports, police say it follows an investigation going back to March.

The Lynchburg Police Department’s Digital Evidence Recovery Unit (DERU), an affiliate member of the Southern Virginia ICAC Task Force, conducted a proactive investigation into the online sharing of child pornography.

In March of 2014 a suspect regarding the online sharing of child pornography was developed at a residence in the 4700 Block of Greenwood Drive in the City of Lynchburg. On May 9th, 2014 a search warrant was obtained and executed at the residence.

On June 18th, 2014, as a result of this ongoing investigation, Allen Henderson (31 yr old, W/M) was charged and arrested on 10 counts of child pornography possession and 1 count of distribution of child pornography.

Allen Henderson is currently being held at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail – Lynchburg Adult Detention Center without bond.
