Lynchburg Mayor Experiencing Conflict

Lynchburg’s Mayor is experiencing the conflict at the Gaza Strip first hand. Mike Gillette, has traveled to the region before…this trip is mainly for language-learning purposes to study Hebrew. Gillette told media outlets that he planned his trip to Jerusalem prior to the offensive. The Federal Aviation Administration suspended flights to Israel’s Tel Aviv airport on Tuesday due to the conflict and extended the prohibition for a second day on Wednesday. Gillette says he plans to return home soon.
