The Lynchburg Museum is highlighting the Strother Drug Company this month. Started in 1853 in a tiny shop on Ninth Street, Strother Drug Company grew to one of the largest wholesale pharmaceutical companies in the country before it was purchased by Alco Standard, another distributer in 1981. As part of “First Friday,” items from the drug company will be on display at the Lynchburg Museum free of charge from 5:00 until 8:00 tomorrow evening.
