A Lynchburg man was killed yesterday in a drive-by shooting. Officers responded to the 1500 block of Cliff Street at 12:24pm after reports of shots fired in the area. Once on the scene they found 29-year-old Brandon Carter lying on the front porch of 1512 Cliff Street. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Witnesses in the area told police a gold colored Dodge four door sedan with out of state tags, fired numerous shots from the passenger side of the vehicle. It was reportedly occupied by multiple black males.
