Lynchburg police are looking for a murder suspect they say may be armed and dangerous. 25-year-old Anthony Dewayne Colden II, of South Carolina died from a gunshot wound to the torso shortly before midnight last night at an upstairs apartment at 4540 Golf Park Drive. 21-year-old Londell Henry Thompson Jr. is wanted on numerous charges including 

Thompson’s whereabouts are unknown and he should be considered armed and dangerous.

[UPDATE] Suspect Sought in Golf Park Drive Homicide

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) is searching for a suspect in a Wednesday night homicide on Golf Park Drive.

Londell Henry Thompson Jr., 21, is wanted in connection with the shooting death of Anthony Dewayne Colden II. Charges on file for Thompson include the following:

Thompson’s whereabouts are unknown and he should be considered armed and dangerous.

EARLIER: Lynchburg Police are investigating a homicide on Golf Park Drive last night. Just before midnight, police went to an upstairs apartment at 4540 Golf Park Drive and found 25-year-old Anthony Dewayne Colden II, of South Carolina with a gunshot wound to the torso. Colden was pronounced dead at the scene. There’s no word yet on any suspects.

Homicide on Golf Park Drive

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on Golf Park Drive last night.

On June 1, 2022, at 11:48 p.m., officers responded to the upstairs apartment at 4540 Golf Park Drive in reference to a shooting. When officers arrived, they located 25-year-old Anthony Dewayne Colden II, of South Carolina with a gunshot wound to the torso. Colden was pronounced dead on the scene.
