Lynchburg PolicePolice are investigating an armed robbery late Thursday night at the Check First Cash Advance on Fort Avenue in Lynchburg.

Officials say an employee tells investigators that an adult man entered the business, pointed a firearm at them and demanded money.

The suspect appeared to be in his mid-20s to mid-30s, standing at approximately 6’ tall, and weighing 200-220 lbs.

No one was harmed during the robbery.

From Lynchburg Police Department: On August 4, 2016 at approximately 11:12 a.m., the Lynchburg Police Department responded to 3701 Fort Avenue at Check First Cash Advance to investigate an armed robbery that had reportedly just occurred. When officers arrived on the scene, an employee stated that an adult male entered the business, pointed a firearm at them, and demanded money. The suspect then fled the scene. He was described as approximately 6’ tall, 200-220lbs, and appeared to be in his mid-20s to mid-30s. No one was harmed during the robbery. Anyone, who has information related to this incident that aids in the investigation and arrest of the suspect, may be eligible for a reward.
