A woman missing since last night has been found safely.
After nearly 18 hours of searching by the Lynchburg Police Department, Campbell County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, Lynchburg Sheriff’s Office, Lynchburg Fire Department, Virginia State Police, the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources, many City of Lynchburg departments, and the Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM), members of the VDEM’s K-9 team located Beatrice Reese Spencer, 74, of Lynchburg, near the intersection of Hollins and Polk Streets at approximately 5:45 p.m. on June 21, 2021.
She was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

EARLIER: The Lynchburg Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing person. Have you seen her? Beatrice Reese Spencer, 74, is 5’3” and 130 lbs with brown eyes. She has Alzheimer’s and was last seen wearing a blue/white shirt and three tank tops – gold, beige, & black, one tennis shoe and one slipper. She was last seen in the 400 Block of Floyd Street.
