UPDATE: The missing woman, Aaliyah McDaniel, has been located and is safe.
EARLIER: The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) is investigating a case involving a missing and disabled woman.
On May 2, 2022, at 9:22 a.m., officers responded to the 300-block of Meadow View Drive for report of a missing and endangered person. Aaliyah McDaniel (19) left a family member’s home on Meadow View Drive around 6:30 a.m. this morning to go for a walk. When she did not return, the family member called the police to report her missing.
Aaliyah is considered endangered due to a mental disability. She also takes medication daily and does not have a cell phone.
