From Lynchburg Police: On 12/8/2015 at approximately 1600 hours, a male victim arrived at the Lynchburg General Hospital Emergency Department with multiple stab wounds. The Lynchburg Police Department responded and found the victim to be Clifton Taylor, 21, of Lynchburg. Taylor’s injuries were not life-threatening and he was treated and released. Officers discovered that the incident occurred at 2315 Yorktown Avenue, Lynchburg. The suspect was identified as Byron Monroe Edwards, 22, of Lynchburg. Edwards was seen leaving the scene in a red 2007 Pontiac 4- door with possible VA tag VCF-8065. Edwards is currently wanted in Lynchburg for malicious wounding. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Lynchburg Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
