Lynchburg Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing teenage girl. Police say 18-year-old Jamisha Gilbert of Lynchburg was last seen early Friday morning, and the car she was believed to be driving was found several hours later near Concord Turnpike and Winston Ridge Road. Her family reported her missing Sunday night. Jamisha was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and brown boots.

On December 1, 2013 at 9:09 p.m., the Lynchburg Police Department took a report of a missing person: 18-year-old Jamisha Gilbert of Lynchburg. Jamisha is described as a black female, 5’5, 140 lbs., medium complexion with brown eyes and black hair – wearing a white t-shirt and brown boots.
Jamisha’s family reports last seeing her sometime on Wednesday and friends report last seeing her between midnight and 1:00 a.m. Friday morning. A 2002 Burgundy Honda Accord now believed to have been driven by Jamisha was found unattended in the area of Concord Turnpike and Winston Ridge Road around 8:00 a.m. Friday morning. There are no other details to release at this time.
This incident is currently under investigation by the Lynchburg Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division.
