Lynchburg PoliceFrom Lynchburg Police: The Lynchburg Police Department is currently investigating two recent thefts of utility trailers containing lawn care equipment. Both trailers listed below were stolen while parked on a city street. Incident #1: Between 10/23 and 10/29 a 20’ Kaufman Utility Trailer, with Virginia registration 496546TL, was stolen from the Perrymont area of Lynchburg. The trailer contained various lawn care equipment including three Toro Zero Turn mowers, seven Toro push mowers, eleven Stihl weed eaters, three Stihl backpack blowers, and other various landscaping items. Total loss is over $32,000. Incident #2:On 11/3 between 0200 hours and 0700 hours, a 10’ Holmes Utility Trailer with Virginia registration 642929TL, was stolen from the Campbell Ave area of Lynchburg. The utility trailer contained a Toro Zero Turn mower and two Toro push mowers. Total loss is over $8,000. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Detective D.S.
